Greg Sorrentino says he  " bought this Datsun 510 , used, in 1970 with 8 or 9000 miles on it, from Dexter Chevrolet in Detroit.  The original owners didn't like driving it because there was no power steering. I put 5 more pounds of air in the front tires, and it was great.  I drove it a bit, then converted it to a race car.  I used most everything BRE and Nismo had.

   " I raced in the Central Division, and TransAm and IMSA races in the area, before selling the car to ( Dennis Moser in) Florida, in 1974.  Gary ( Witzenburg) drove it in a couple of the races.

Today, before refinishing, the car appears pretty much as it was, including the 1595cc race engine,  except for a few updates which will be returned to the original look..........
